BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR HOME

Everyday, I would try to end the school day with a quick recap of the day gone by through an exit game wherein I would ask the students to line up and ask each one of them a question based on the various concepts being worked upon in the class. The students have to answer the question correctly in order to get their exit pass. If he or she is unable to do so, he/she goes right at the end of the line and has a go at another question once his/her turn comes again. It helped me gauge if the students have been able to grasp the concepts and also the level of their understanding and I would rework on the concepts next day, if the need be.

It was getting difficult for me to do so lately as a lot of students are involved in various practice sessions during the prep time for various events coming up. So I came up with another idea. I have a 'WHAT STUCK WITH YOU TODAY?' board.

I have stuck it to the door. As the students leave the room for the last time during the day, either to go home or for a practice session before school ends, they take a sticky note and write anything that they enjoyed during the day or something they found difficult during the day with their name and the date and stick it on the chart. Once the kids leave,I remove the sticky notes and read them. I just started this a couple of days back and it seems to be going well.
I will upload a few sample sticky notes written by the students soon.
