Literacy Week Extravaganza- I

DAY 1

“Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope.” ― Kofi Annan

Literacy Week and Hindi Saptah are being celebrated in full fervour in school. The students began the week with a special assembly based on Hindi and its adoption as the national language in India. This was followed by a song sung by Grade 5 students and a joke by Grade 3 students. Hindi special assemblies will be conducted throughout the week along with other activities in class.

Grade 4 has finished reading all the Cinderella stories from around the world and have begun practicing an enactment of the same. They will present their enactment tomorrow. Grade 4X has chosen the story - CINDERELLA SKELETON - for the enactment.

What can be better than a Book fair during the Literacy Week? The Eureka Book Fair brought with it galore of books to choose from with an exciting discount of 10% for the students. There were books by famous authors like Enid Blyton, Rick Riordan,  Ruskin Bond, Rudyard Kipling and many others. The students had a happy time browsing and buying the books they wanted
